Ghosts of IBM's OS/2

OS/2 - remember IBM's 32-bit operating system that was supposed to, once and for all, wrest control of the PC from the evil Microsoft back in the early 1990's?

I don't know anybody who actually runs OS/2; the last time I saw it in operation was about 10 years ago at an airline ticket counter. Still, the OS/2 e-Zine ("The Best OS/2 Reading Anywhere!), an online publication dedicated to OS/2, soldiered on for a long time after OS/2's useful life, and only closed in late 2004.

Today, the OS/2 e-Zine is a spectral Ghost Site: its broken banners howl in the wind, its links lie rotted and disused, and its listing in Yahoo's Directory will, someday, inevitably, be purged from the Web's active memory.

So it's best to enjoy this wreckage right now.
