Bukowski to Web: Drop Dead

A good friend of mine, Bill Lessard, has recently launched a blog called Son of Bukowski (Poetry for an illiterate, decadent civilization), whose content is inspired by the late great Charles Bukowski.

Calling All Dot-Com Dropouts

A site called DotComDropout.com launched recently, and it's a refreshing alternative to the sad parade of schadenfreude-laden sites that dominated the landscape of the post-boom Web in recent years.

Run by John Wu, a San Francisco-based software engineer who once worked at HotPaper.com, DotComDropout isn't a place to rant or wax nostalgic about old browsers, just a place where former employees can stay in touch. But Wu doesn't rule out using the site's blog feature as a place to run Web veteran's stories and other information.
