From Mute Chukarandos:
- Mute chukarandos do not have the distinctively loud growl-squawk of the Common chukarando however, this having been bred out of the species –- hence the label "mute". --Dr. H. L. Ackroyd 19:32, 18 Dec 2004 (EST)
- This, by the way, is the sound that mating fairy penguins make. I should know, I recorded this sound myself in October of 2004 in Tasmania. --DrAckroyd 08:32, 28 May 2005 (EDT)
