One other possibility is that these Cataclysmatologists are just plain old wrong: he did use the clarfying term "suggest", which means this isn't fact, and that the 10,000 -EC date is ''exactly how he wanted it, regardless of its evolutionary leap''. I think we need more clarification from Joe on what he was actually attempting here. −	To be honest, my thinking writing the entry was "Ten Million Years", although I did want them to be pretty radically different given the time frame- I really did just drop a bucket of zeroes.
