I've heard two people complain about neck cricks today, and what do you know, now I've got one. I'm still trying to determine if it is indeed real, or just a basis in psychosis. . . . : ; The "REVERSE PSYCH" Notice You know, I've been giving a lot of money to people whose name is Morbus. Perhaps it's just me. I just love giving money to people. Especially those named Morbus. It makes me feel good. Real good. Like I just had sex with a million bitches. And still had enough cu... well, you fill the rest in. . . . : ; ANNOUNCEMENTS and massage, massage, massage... NEW DEVIL SHAT (#SixtyEight): Super feisty issue this time around with more from Rown Garnbii and his breakdown of the dumb guy - seven on the scale of ten for assholes. And Morbus? Yeah, he actually wrote something about old people, wall paper, grocery lifting, and abuse. Somehow, it's something you don't want to read, but will be drawn to (cos hell! I'm the editor! I put the damn thing first!). And a third piece involves a story named "Jack" that'll make something bleed. Engulf. GAMEGRENE?!: Gamegrene has been around for a few months now, and we've determined what is working and what isn't. The dry dock is over. Expect some changes in the future. And if you haven't seen it yet - why not? Wonderful gaming stuff there. Wow. That was a pretty weak pitch. Shit. It's not like we've taken down the nude gaming icons yet. Those draw a lot of people. Still don't know why. Should probably do a survey on that one... NEW GHOST SITES: A new Ghost Sites graced our paths this September 30, the fortieth issue of a very important analysis of the web. Find out how you can help the cause by capturing the dead, stealing their souls with a screenshot, and parsing the deadest and greatest port 80's you've never seen. VIEWER DISCRETION IS NO MORE: After a large run in the past few years and remarkable contributions to the very reason the Internet sucks, Viewer Discretion has closed the very doors Disobey helped widened. Very few came to the memorial - most of them were at the Monster Truck Festival, but know that deep in my heart, I miss you. (And in a few years, the archives will prove a revealing read as I kick myself for ever deciding to publish your sorry ass). I know you'll understand, and my support is with you. HORROR SECTION UPDATED: Being the month of October (OoOoh!), in the supposed millennium (OoooooooOOh!), with a Friday the 13th (Ooooh!) which lands on a full moon (Oooo!), the Horror Section will be getting a large update to commemorate it's one year anniversary. Recently, we've added 50 new posters and similar, removed some "features" that weren't working, and improved the search engine by using Atomz.com instead. Expect 200 new downloads by Halloween. NEW APE: You know, I really enjoy APE, and with titles like "Santa Claus Meets Spider Goat", "Broadly Speaking, The English Language is Crap", and "Christ Announces His Bid For Presidency", you should definitely take a look, regardless of what other people say. Good stuff, Anti-Press Ezine is. RANDOM: Bunches of minor random updates, nothing to get excited about. The Press Pit was updated to include most of this year's as well as newly discovered items from last year (just go run to it, eh?). Also, due to my involvement with XML lately, I've validated the main page of Disobey to the XHTML standard - and because it was valid HTML in the first place, it was remarkably easy. And I've been working on that stupid game a lot. It's actually at SourceForge for close friends and family. I'll publicize it as a front end gets developed. Stilted sentences rock. . . . : ; EVERYTHING else and she's got it like Sam Goody NEW MOVIES: Couple of new movies were grabbed this past month, and I've sorely realized why I hate buying movies new (can we say incredibly and annoyingly expensive?). I've gotten some of the new Anchor Bay remasters: AUTOPSY, I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE, CANNIBAL MAN and THE KILLING HOUR, and on an aside, picked up JACK FROST (the super hella cool hologram cover ... heh) and PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, the Argento remix. I'm seriously looking to go back to eBay hunting - 20 movies a week for the same price as the above is looking mighty nice. A LOSS: I've recently faced a massive part of myself dying. A hobby and collectibles shop within walking distance, whose owner was like a mother and reared me like a belligerent wolfchild, recently burnt down. 10 to 15 years of my life have disappeared due to some ass showing electrician and his faulty wiring. Each week, as I go to the bank to cash my check, I see the burnt husk. Realization and acceptance has sadly, and very slowly come. Some may say it's pathetic to privately weep over a material item, but that store was truly a family member. I shall miss you, deeply, and I know you'll never be replaced. . . . : ; BLAHBLAHS OF THE WEEK: ( september 15th - october 12th ) [Boredom-of-the-Week]-= Reinstall of the Mac ---Boy, oh boy, was it getting time to do a reinstall. Crashes ---every twenty minutes or so, annoying screen ghosts, and just ---a slowdown worse than the aesopian turtle. Annoying. Now, I've ---got an earlier OS, but it's much faster. Ahhh. Downgrading. What ---a strangely enjoyable experience. [Fun-of-the-Week]-= CDs, CDs, CDs! ---I must've burnt ten CDs in the last week or so - ROMs, MP3s, ---movies, software, pdfs, tons and tons of everything. And with ---some new label maker software I reg'd off the net, I've been ---making jewel slips like the devil too. Ooh. My madd designer ---skillz own j00. . . . : ; The Issue Was Hampered By An Itchy Mustache . . . : ; SUBSCRIBE: majordomo@disobey.com BODY: Subscribe ChicosGroove . . . : ; UNSUBSCRIBE: majordomo@disobey.com BODY: Unsubscribe ChicosGroove
