If any of you "I love Disobey" readers have some extra cash just strapping around, would you be so kind as to send me some? Thanks. . . . : ; The "WHAT-THE-HELL-IS-THIS?" Notice Didn't I answer this question waaay back in Chico's Groove Eno? Some people just don't remember anything. Sheesh. . . . : ; ANNOUNCEMENTS and why my head hurts NEW DEVIL SHAT (#ThirtyEight): Someone called my bluff and picked up on the "epitome of pointlessness" blurb describing Devil Shat. And so, this issue comes to you with a very interesting, very head-shaking, very-stepping-away from-the-big-man-with-the-gun custom dictionary file from the person called IGNORE the HYPE. GHOST SITES T-SHIRT NOW AVAILABLE: Yup... it had been in the works for awhile, and finally, after months of perfecting it, the Ghost Sites T-shirt is now available in limited quantities... For more information, direct your browser to: http://www.disobey.com/ghostsites/shirt.htm LOW: Along with all the usual archive updates, three new archives were added, as well as a crapload of new mailing list resources for those who don't care to run a magazine from their own email program. Also added five new listings, minor updates to recognize the ISSN website, a new review (which was also the new featured listing), and of course, another new issue of Viewer Discretion. ZERO: Zero, albeit late, was updated with a review of the "Songs of the Witchblade"... find out why the reviews haven't been upbeat and why you should expect rips of this album in a couple of months. Also the new Meat Beat Manifesto album appears along with the Orgazmo Motion Picture Soundtrack, as well as the new review formatting John will be doing for a while. Check it out, and keep sending in those comments. MINOR UPDATES: Although we know we need to add to Collected Works pretty soon (we still have tons of stories we're sitting on), we did a minor update to Arunas Statkus's section with a new bio and a new email address. Things to come include more Slough, Ohmart, and a brand new author... Also added three new email to Devil Shat Thirty Seven. GUESS NOT: An issue ago we asked if the awards and kudos bestowed onto Ghost Sites would stop. Apparently, they won't, as this week we add the Hot Site Award from Food and Leisure to the large collection that Ghost Sites is continuing to amass. . . . : ; EVERYTHING else in more than one place REALLY HAPPY THOUGHTS: A couple of weeks ago, Disobey got control of a very large database. After more discussion, the database is now in our hands, has been modified tremendously, and is going to be damn awesome for those who like this kind of stuff. The next thing we need is access to the binding software for the PC version of FileMaker Pro. We've got to find it. Ah twell. I DUNNO: For some strange reason, there is not that much EVERYTHING. Don't ask why. Guess I haven't had the time to write shit for it. I could tell you about my new task at my real job, which includes designing a database and website for them, and possibly corporate wide. Which would be cool. Of course, knowing my luck, the evil female manager won't like the idea, and cancel it, and my recently put in Two Week Notice will still stand. Damn. DAMN MONITOR: Yet another reason why you should send me some money. The prime computer that I do the Disobey work on has a problem with the monitor. Being a very old monitor, the brightness board has gone out on the damn thing, and now I am treated to a wonder display of shifting brightness levels which give you one damn big headache after a day's work. Sometimes, the damn thing gets so dark that even after turning up the brightness knob all the way, you still can't see enough to work... forcing me to "put my head down" for about a half hour before it decides to come back to life. So please, help me with me headaches and donate monitors or money. TWO JOBS: Welp, I'm working two jobs now... both duff jobs: sitting on my ass in front of a computer and doing something for someone else. One is working for my ISP (kickass!) and the other is setting up a database and website for the Staples CopyCenter (which I mentioned above). I need money, bad. . . . : ; BLAHBLAHS OF THE WEEK: ( october 9th - october 22nd ) [It's-Beginning-of-the-Week]-= Ad Blitz ---Normally, I'd be expecting to get disks in the mail from AOL since ---they just officially released 4.0... a million disks I read. Anyways, ---instead, I've gotten two MSN CDs in the past week. I don't know if ---that is better or worse. [Coolest-Death-of-the-Week]-= Bride of Chucky ---High speed mack truck, slow moving fleshy human. Graphic portrayal. ---Enough said. Well, besides the fact that the movie started good ---and then went down hill. Revenge of the Garbage Pail Kids.
