Dotcom Scoop and NetSlaves Will Merge

Dotcom Scoop and NetSlaves are getting hitched. While we're not exactly sure what this combination means yet, to us it was a no-brainer. Dotcom Scoop has news and a great bulletin board and NetSlaves has the attitude and the analysis.

Why bother? We have a desire to show people that one can actually publish original content online which doesm't require one to be too hip to breathe or require 20m in VC funding.

As many of you know, we've been planning this for a while, since it's clear that the dotcom era is over and frankly, we want to bring more to our readership than our well-reasoned rants. There is room for a business/culture site which actually interacts with its readers, isn't run by insane zealots or needs to be snarky and snide everyday to make a point.

We want to grow with the industry, because this isn't going anywhere. People will continue to work online and there is a need for a voice which actually speaks to workers and not bosses, which is the rarest of all American acts.

We will be adding new features, services and content over the next few weeks, many of which you'll find useful. While we may grow, our core effort will be in providing IT workers with information which affects their lives and careers.

In the meantime, we offer you our Top Ten Reasons Dotcom Scoop and NetSlaves are merging:

10) Between us, we have at least much cheese as the Kraft IPO.

9) We go together like "Piss" and "Vinegar."

8) We seek to gain access to Ben's collection of 17th-Century Finnish Pornography.

7) We're both more profitable than Amazon.

6) It's the second phrase of our real agenda: space travel!

5) eCRM

4) If Microsoft is unable to build Hailstorm into AOL, they've promised to call us.

3) Pud has approved the deal.

2) We're in a race to take out AOL/TW, Disney, Viacom, NewsCorp, Sony, Vivendi and the 7/11 Corporation.

1) Earn more than five cents with online content.
