And to think that I have a mass of hungry subscribers leeching onto every word, waiting for the one clue which will send them immediately to their cars, driving to the very pinpoint of my existence. . . . : ; The "CUT THE DRAMATIC CRAP" Notice Sure, it was dramatic, but I just gone done watching some stupid Dawson's Creek episode. I saw three related items for horror movies. And no, I don't watch it for that purpose. I don't even watch it. I was sitting in the chair, waiting for my crappy computer to download a file. Actually, I was wasting my time, trying to avoid the inevitable. Yet here I sit. I have failed, they tell me, but I don't listen. . . . : ; ANNOUNCEMENTS and bugs all over the place... NO NEW DEVIL SHAT (#Vacation): As some of you know, there is no Devil Shat this week as I am on vacation. I, being Morbus. The free time hasn't been well spent, as I've been watching movies, eating lots of junk food, and lots of other fun things. We did do some minor updates though, including three email to Forty Seven, five email to Forty Eight, and one email added to the generic section Judgments (or JudgEments for you Canadian hippies). NEW NETSLAVES: Another NetSlaves was brought to the slobbering masses: an interview with Hess, Garbage Man, in something we like to label as "Calling Desktop Support". Your friendly neighborhood support person might not be so friendly when he knows you're not listening. COLLECTED WORKS INTUITION: Oh, the things that email brings: Date: Thu, 01 Apr 1999 11:12:36 -0800 From: Marc Krizack Subject: brassiere brassiere is french for life jacket. and an acronym of brassiere is brasserie, which means brewery. No what do you make of that? MINOR UPDATES: RealAudio was removed from Zero, mainly because they were taking up space (literally), all of the text issues available from Disobey have been wrapped to 72 characters, removed final traces of the word "ListServ" from the NetSlaves section (we won't get into the "cease and desist" email we got), changed the email subscription messages you get after successfully subscribing to a mailing list because some of you were being stupid, finally removed some annoying JavaScript problems which would cause people not to see email addresses on the site, and updated the Kudos page on Disobey to be a little more recent. Still got a lot more to do, though. Sheesh. . . . : ; EVERYTHING else and gotta get my boots on... NEW MOVIES: Man, there were movies on sale everywhere, from the normal shops around town, to the flea markets popping up because of the weather, so I've added a total of eleven new movies to the collection. I only hope I can remember them all: THE HAND, NIGHT OF THE ZOMBIES, SILENT NIGHT BLOODY NIGHT, HORROR EXPRESS, PHANTOM OF THE OPERA, DEADLY POSSESSION, UNMASKED PART 25, BRAINWAVES, NIGHT FLIER, MILO and BREEDERS. This doesn't even come close to the amount of movies that I've rented in the past two weeks, as well as borrowing (which include, but are not limited to: STRAIT JACKET, WISHMASTER, CUBE, COCOON: THE RETURN, SHRIEKER, and BLACK CHRISTMAS). NEW CD CRAP: Bought "Better Living Through Chemistry" by FAT BOY SLIM. Yup. Exciting. Also shove it in my (drumroll) brand new CD rack thing! Yes, this stunning black plastic rack can hold 150 CDs, can separate for dual positioning, and can display CDs in 3 different positions! And it doesn't tip over! (Unlike the other crappy "wavy tower" thing we picked out before this one). . . . : ; BLAHBLAHS OF THE WEEK: ( april 9th - april 22nd ) [Paintjob-of-the-Week]-= Coloring Disobey Folders ---I labeled all of my Disobey folders in nifty colors so that they ---are distinguishable at a glance of the eye. Not that anyone would ---be looking at them besides me, but hey, I'm an anal perfectionist, ---and I like colors and interface. Shoot me. [Cleaning-of-the-Week]-= The Bathroom ---We took the plunge and starting working on our bathroom, cleaning ---it from head to toe (kinda), and getting new shower curtains and ---fuzzy toilet things. Still got some work to do on it, but shit, ---if you had seen it *before*, you'd be amazed. [KickAss-Movie-of-the-Week] - Karate Kid ---Yeah, goat, they were playing all three Karate Kid movies on the ---Family Channel. Lemme tell ya how much I love the Karate Kid ---movies. Naturally, I watched all of them, and then got on a major ---Pat Norita kick (that's Miyagi) and checked out IMDB for other ---movies he played in and showing times. Whatever you do, if you're ---a Norita fan, don't watch HONEYMOON IN VEGAS. . . . : ; The Issue Was Put Out In A Rush . . . : ; SUBSCRIBE: majordomo@disobey.com BODY: Subscribe ChicosGroove . . . : ; UNSUBSCRIBE: majordomo@disobey.com BODY: Unsubscribe ChicosGroove
