Which is good. Nothing fancy, just a Sony 100ES. Much better than the other piece of shat that I was using. Never thought 1024 x 768 could look so good. . . . : ; The "ONLY-ANNOYING-THING" Notice The only annoying thing about the how monitor deal is the fact that every so often I can get Thousands of colors on the 1024 x 768 and then, other times, I can only get 256 colors. Nothing seems to effect it either way, it just randomly decides. Ah twell. . . . : ; ANNOUNCEMENTS and squeeze your neck, dear NETSLAVES SNEAK! Probably the most exciting thing this week was the debut of NetSlaves. Released exactly one year after the premiere of Ghost Sites and created by Bill Lessard and Steve Baldwin (the creator of Ghost Sites), it promises to be another "must see" section of Disobey. Although not officially opening until December 1st, we offer a preview and a chance to subscribe to the email newsletter. Check it out: http://www.disobey.com/netslaves/ NEW DEVIL SHAT (#Fourty): Welp, it seems some crackhead over in Bombay liked the stupid self help column that Morbus wrote in the last issue of Devil Shat, and sent in some encouraging words. Morbus got it in his head to write the second part of the series, and thus, we apologize. Devil Shat really isn't a self-help zine. We'll straighten it out. DEVIL SHAT RESTORATION: Devil Shat has been the longest running of Disobey's section, and with time, got a little discombobled. Although not a major update, Devil Shat had its inner paragraphs modified, as well as a standard inner heading set. It was something that had been bothering us (me). Nothing big. You probably won't notice, but it took a while, and was annoying. LOW BANDHEIGHT: Added all the normal archive crap (filled with over 600 text issues!) along with three new additions. Other than that, Low Bandwidth has been pretty quiet this week. Mainly because of all the other updates that took a lot of time to finish. However, I did manage to add five new listings, remove one dead listing, modify some existings, and condense the archives down a bit in relation to the latest issues. Low Bandwidth was hit pretty hard this week as a zine called VirtualPROMOTE decided to mention us. We got buried underneath all of the submissions. ZERO ONE: Had a huge update to Zero this issue. Now, interested listeners have a choice of MP3's or RealAudio formats... which should up the interest for potential passerby's. We had gotten a couple of complaints that people didn't feel like installing mp3 software, but already had RealAudio installed. Besides being lazy, they had a minor point. Anyways, we also added CDNow links to all of the reviews... now you can pick up the album if the review interests you. Lastly, we mod'd most of the pages so that they rank better in the search engines, and added a much better logo on the front page... that other one was quite old. MINOR UPDATES: Added one email to Devil Shat Thirty Eight as well as seven to Devil Shat Thirty Nine... seems not just people from Bombay wanted to read the rest of the goals to achieving inner peace. Also caught an embarrassing "passed through the spellchecker ok" error in Ghost Sites, finally got customized 404 webpages (what you see when you don't see anything), and did other routine maintenance stuff. . . . : ; EVERYTHING else and what you do around here? BINARIES: Welp, my ISP recently switched Usenet providers to its upstream provider, so now I have access to all of the "alt.binaries.*", which is cool. Been mad downloading stupid shit from that. Only wish alt.binaries.pictures.monster would get some more posts, although alt.binaries.gothic is relatively interesting for dark pictures. Any one have other suggestions? DAMMIT, AH TWELL: Well, due to experimenting, I've determined the reason why I occasionally get Thousands of colors, and other times not (as mentioned above). And, it's not anything I can change... it's an actual bug in the software or the adapter not passing correct information. So, therefore, I'm stuck on the normal 832x624... Dammit. Ah twell. ALL IS NORMAL: >Shit, this morning, I turn and I bump into a corpse in my bed. Still >sleepy, it seemed quite natural for it to be there. So I hug the >body and fall back asleep. Then I get this strange horrible thought >in my head and I open my eye (yes, only one). It's my girlfriend, >who had worked the night and she parked herself in my bed. I didn't >hear her walk in, take a shower, change and crawl into bed. They >could kill me and I wouldn't even notice. PACKARD BELL AINT ALL THAT BAD: At least their support isn't. After planning on installing RedHat Linux on one of my machines, I came to the problem of not being able to read the Linux CD. Due to Packard Bell's immediate and knowledgeable tech staff, I had it running by three emails. Sure, their computers might suck... I guess they are making up for it through support. . . . : ; BLAHBLAHS OF THE WEEK: ( november 6th - november 19th ) [Purchase-of-the-Week]-= Yet Another Movie Poster ---Got a new Child's Play 2 movie poster for only fifteen bucks. ---"Sorry, Jack! Chucky's Back!". Pretty decent price. The next poster ---I plan on getting is probably going to be something old like a ---reprinted Karloff, or something interesting. [Junk-Food-of-the-Week]-= Ain't No PopTarts ---Although good, PopTarts have been replaced with the confectionary ---wonders of multicolored Whoopie Pies. Coming 12 to a container, I ---gots White, Orange, and Brown filling. Yum. And Swiss Cake Rolls... ---Been eating a lot of those lately too. [Gross-Ass-Candy-of-the-Week]-= Twizzlers Pull-n-Peel ---I used to think I thought these things were good, but man, after ---trying them one Sunday, I could only choke back a stifled scream ---of disgust. Wha? Yeah, I know I ate all of them anyways.
