Once the site is done we are going to purchase a hosting plan. 1: recommendations for hosting? 2: Will the site transfer pretty seamlessly from our test server to our hosted server, or should I build the site on the host from the beginning?

[02:10:47]<Kenn_VM>troythetechguy, drupal will move well. when exporting the database be sure to clear the cache tables, and the sessions table. I also tend to turn off clean urls before the move
