[00:01:34]<dellintosh|Away>YammYgirlcoding: you will be able to. I'll show you how. :D
[00:01:36]<longwave>bsuttis: calling return ends the function immediately.. do you need the foreach at all? maybe you should just return $types?
[00:02:02]<fosstux>dellintosh|Away: do you have any brilliant ideas?
[00:02:10]<longwave>bsuttis: also, node_get_types is an existing function that will get the list of content types for you
[00:02:25]<dellintosh|Away>I do, fosstux. I need to get a few things set up first then I can take a look for you. :)

[00:03:16]<willwh>guys - anyone got the teamspeak module running on drupal 6?
[00:03:21]<willwh>I see there is a patch for it posted
[00:03:27]<willwh>but I don't know how to patch it
[00:03:30]<bsuttis>longwave: thanks -- i realized that the return in the foreach was the issue, using something like $output .= (note concatenation) and then a return at the end of the function worked

[00:08:48]<dirkson>willwh: Patching's not hard. As I remember, the syntax for patch is: patch patchname.patch originalfile
[00:09:25]<dirkson>willwh: It takes care of most of the hard stuffs. All you need to do is locate which file it's supposed to be patching
[00:10:21]* kthomas_vh has joined #drupal-support
[00:10:58]<peerce>its a good idea to do a `more` of hte .patch file to see what sort of paths it hsa coded into it, so you can run it from the right parent directory

[00:40:20]<fosstux>what actually is the difference between arguments and filters?

[00:40:47]<fosstux>are filters meant to be fixed in the view and the argument to be dynamic?
[00:40:47]<rightsprocket>fosstux from my understanding you use arguments as input to manipulate a view
[00:41:04]<rightsprocket>you use filter to control filter what content is or is not shown

[00:48:34]<dellintosh>kthomas_vh: not coming up with anything in regards to a user blacklist... taxonomy and content blacklist yes... no user blacklists though... perhaps you can make a module and contrib it for the community? :D
[00:48:49]<kthomas_vh>;)
[00:50:01]<dellintosh>fosstux: I've gotten good reports from people on panels for d6... the disclaimer obviously worries most ppl... so how soon is this production?
[00:50:27]<fosstux>dellintosh: now! http://funofax.org
[00:51:17]<kthomas_vh>dellintosh, don't see anything either
[00:51:41]<fosstux>I'm actually working on the real site - noone knows this address except this irc channel
[00:52:44]<sdboyer>dellintosh: we (the panels devs) have rather high standards for calling things "production"
[00:52:46]<dellintosh>kthomas_vh: I don't think it'd be too difficult to make a module to do just that... set up some kind of user input for the blacklist terms, or maybe offer to parse a blacklist from online somewhere... then use hook_user to fire on user registration and check for matches, kicking an error if the username matches the blacklist.

[00:53:32]<kthomas_vh>yeah
[00:53:47]<sdboyer>dellintosh: numerous sites were built on the panels2 beta for d5 - some even the alpha - so part of the answer to your question is that you'll probably be able to feasibly use it for production sites before we mark it a "release"
[00:53:59]<dellintosh>actually, sdboyer, I wasn't actually directing towards you the question. It was more asking fosstux how soon his site was going to production, wondering if the solution I offered would work for him.
[00:54:09]<sdboyer>ohhh...

[00:56:21]<fosstux>if not, I'd rather not do it
[00:57:18]<sdboyer>dellintosh: patches are always welcome :)
[00:57:18]<dellintosh>haha... well fosstux, I'd suggest testing what you're trying to do on a dev server... but it will likely be able to accomplish the task in that post... :)

[01:00:12]<dellintosh>well with 87 sites running a single install of drupal... they are extremely hesitant to move up to d6 until all their modules are ready for the upgrade... plus there are a TON of custom modules written internally, that have to be updated as well.
